Rev. Dr. Kenda Creasy Dean

The weekend of February 21-22, 2015, GPC welcomed Rev. Dr. Kenda Creasy Dean, an ordained United Methodist pastor in the Baltimore-Washington Annual Conference and the Mary D. Synnott Professor of Youth, Church and Culture at Princeton Theological Seminary, where she works closely with the Institute for Youth Ministry. 

Kenda is the author of numerous books on youth and the church, including Almost Christian: What the Faith of Our Teenagers Is Telling the American Church, The Theological Turn in Youth Ministry with Andrew Root, and The Godbearing Life: The Art of Soul Tending for Youth Ministry with Ron Foster.  Her current book, A More Excellent Way: How Youth Ministry Is Re-inventing Theological Education (with Christy Lang Hearlson), is due out from Eerdman’s next fall.
