George Frideric Handel’s Messiah, a choral masterpiece that tells the story of Jesus from the prophecies of the coming Messiah, through His birth, life, death, resurrection and ascension. First performed in Dublin, Ireland in 1742, it remains one of the most well-known and beloved choral works.
In celebration of the 275th anniversary of its first performance, the Georgetown Presbyterian Church will present the complete oratorio Messiah, weaving its movements into nine worship services over the course of the church year. Join us to listen to the story of Jesus Christ as it is sung by the GPC choir with soloists as we worship God together.
