Guest Preacher: Rev. Craig Goodrich

Craig Goodrich has served as Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Naples since October 2015.

A native of Washington, D.C., Rev. Goodrich is a graduate of St. Albans School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was a Morehead scholar. He is also a cum laude graduate of Boston College Law School. From 1981 to 1991 he was in the private practice of law in Washington where he specialized in healthcare, employment law and litigation with the law firms of Pope, Ballard and Loos (subsequently Holland and Knight) and then Casson, Calligaro and Mutryn (subsequently Calligaro and Mutryn).

In the early 1980’s Craig and his wife Andie were members of the Georgetown Presbyterian Church where Craig served as a Trustee. Subsequently, they moved to Vienna, Virginia and became members of the Vienna Presbyterian Church where Craig served as an elder.

In 1991 Craig and his family left Washington for Decatur, Georgia and Columbia Theological Seminary where he was a Columbia Scholar and graduated with distinction in 1994. From 1994 to 1996, Rev. Goodrich both practiced law as counsel with the Atlanta law firm of Wilson, Strickland and Benson and served First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta as part-time Director of Christian Vocation with a focus on men’s ministry and issues of faith and work.

From 1996 to 2013 Rev. Goodrich served the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, the latter sixteen years as Associate Pastor for Administration/Executive Director. From 2013 to 2015 he served as Senior Associate Pastor of the Trinity Presbyterian Church also in Atlanta.

Rev. Goodrich served the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta both as a member and chair of the Conflict Management team and as a member and Moderator of the Presbytery’s Permanent Judicial Committee. Now in the Peace River Presbytery, he serves as co-chair of the Steering Committee.

Rev. Goodrich is married to Andie Evans Goodrich. They have three young adult children: Caitlin, who with her husband Wes Jones and their infant twins Stella and Porter reside in Atlanta; Pete, who is married to Kelly. They are parents of Louisa Marie, August “Gus,” and Ellis and reside in Christchurch, Virginia. And Lara who is married to Zack Ezor. Lara and Zack reside in Durham, North Carolina and have hiked the entirety of both the Appalachian and Pacific Crest Trails.

Rev. Goodrich is the founder of the “Take Your Adversary to Lunch” program of the Atlanta Bar.
