Guest Preacher: Rev. Whitney Fauntleroy
July 29, 2018, 10:00 a.m.
Whitney is a North Carolina native. She attended Princeton Theological Seminary where she received a Master of Divinity and a Master of Art in Youth and Young Adult Ministry in 2012. Now in her fifth year of professional ministry, Whitney is grateful to have experienced ministry in many contexts. Whitney has served as Director of Youth Ministry at University United Methodist Church in Chapel Hill, a Designated Solo Pastor at Chestnut Street Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, NC. In the Spring of 2017, she began serving as Associate Pastor of Youth and Young Adults at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, Virginia.
Whitney has increased her service to the greater church through Montreat College and Youth Conferences, NEXTChurch and More Light Presbyterian. She also is part of Wake Forest Divinity School’s Clergy Making A Place Cohort, an ecumenical group of pastors who seek to be community leaders and rooted in their geographical places.
If Whitney didn’t have to “adult” all the time, she’d spend her time exclusively eating brunch, going to concerts, visiting friends, and spreading the good news and wisdom of Dolly Rebecca Parton to anyone who will listen. She currently most identifies with Eddie Huang of Fresh Off the Boat, Disney’s Moana and, Gayle King as her celebrity spirit animals.
