The Rev. Dr. Katherine A. Shaner is Associate Professor of New Testament at Wake Forest University School of Divinity in Winston-Salem, NC. She is the author of Enslaved Leadership in Early Christianity (Oxford University Press) as well as numerous articles and blogs. She is also an ordained Lutheran (ELCA) pastor who preaches regularly at congregations around the country. She enjoys digging in the dirt, whether in her garden or on an archaeological excavation. She also hikes, makes a mean turkey sandwich, and argues theology regularly with her dog, Karl Bark.

Guest Preacher: Rev. Dr. Doug Powe, Director, Lewis Center for Church Leadership, James C. Logan Professor of Evangelism and Professor of Urban Ministry at Wesley Theological Seminary

The Rev. Dr. F. Douglas Powe, Jr. is an ordained elder in the Baltimore/Washington Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. Powe is committed to helping urban congregations and congregations in transitional areas to flourish through community partnering. His research interest are church revitalization, urban theology and Methodist theology. Dr. Powe is the new Director of the Lewis Center for Church Leadership.

Guest Preacher: Rev. Jennifer Dunfee, outgoing chaplain at The National Presbyterian School, and the Associate Pastor for Care Minitries at Lewinsville Presbyterian Church

Rev. Jennifer Dunfee is the outgoing chaplain at The National Presbyterian School, and the Associate Pastor for Care Minitries at Lewinsville Presbyterian Church.  Prior to that call, she served as an associate pastor for youth and families for five years.  Jennifer and her husband Andrew, and their three children Acadia, Thomas and Anabel, live on the campus of The Madeira School where Andrew is the Chair of the History Department.
