Support Our Mission Partners
On our giving portal, you can earmark gifts to support any our various mission partners and programs. Visit the portal at the button, and see descriptions of our various programs below.
Excel Academy
GPC has long partnered with Excel Academy, an all-girls’ public school in Ward 8, to help families in times of need. We keep an emergency food pantry stocked with Costco groceries, purchase school uniforms, purchase gift cards for the students at Christmas and provide the occasional lunch and team-building workshop for school staff.
Refugee Mission
We are currently supporting several recently-arrived refugee families from Afghanistan. Your financial contributions enable us to purchase the home goods, transportation, and technology needed to help these families establish a home here. Visit gtownpres.org/refugees for more information.
Georgetown Saturday Dinners
GPC partners with other churches in Georgetown to offer a warm dinner to our homeless neighbors. GPC serves dinner on the last Saturday night of every month. We need 15-20 volunteers to bring food and serve our guests. Monetary donations are greatly appreciated.
Chancel Flower Dedications
If you would like to provide Chancel Flowers, please send us an email here. The cost for flowers is $150, which you can pay online, or by sending a check to the Georgetown Presbyterian Church. We will do our best to accommodate your first date preference.
The Georgetown Ministry Center
Georgetown Ministry Center guides service resistant, chronically homeless individuals towards stability. With their Drop-In Center, Street Outreach Program, and Pop-Up location, GMC meets guests’ basic needs of meals, showers, and laundry as well as case management, medical care, and advocacy. Services are focused in Georgetown/Foggy Bottom and are designed to help guests transition into safe, appropriate housing.
Other Gifts

A message from the Pastor
At Georgetown Presbyterian Church, we are proud of our history. Our strong history has been made possible by God's sustaining presence and by men and women who paved the way for us today. We do not take those blessings or those gifts for granted. We remember the stories, the service, the gifts, and the faith entrusted to this place over the years.
In celebrating our history, we acknowledge we have a part to play today and in the days to come. We will eventually pass the baton of this great congregation to those who follow after us. It is our hope that Georgetown Presbyterian Church will be a sanctuary for God's people for generations to come. In order to ensure this church carries on the legacy of God's work we carefully steward the gifts we are given. The gifts people leave the church after they have died are strong testimonies to their faith and their belief in the work of GPC. We thank you for considering being a legacy donor to this church.
